Every day there are children being abused or neglected in America. Last year in Houston 9.5 children per 1,000 were confirmed victims of child abuse. Parenting is a complicated, demanding job. Very few parents have had any training in how to do it well. Children do well when their parents do well and parents do their best when they live in a community that actively supports families. FAMILY OUTREACH is the agency in our community that works directly with parents and plays a positive role in meeting their needs.
FAMILY OUTREACH is a non-profit that strengthens family life and prevents child abuse through education and early intervention. Run For The Kids is an opportunity to help raise funds for this worthwhile cause that will go directly to support the child abuse prevention programs that are offered free-of-charge to families .
