Parent Education

Other things may change us,

but we start and end with the family.

Being a Parent isn’t Easy

In fact, parenting is probably the toughest job that we will ever do.  Family Outreach parent education programs help families find better ways to manage the demands of parenting.  Whether you are just starting the journey of parenthood with a brand new baby, a parent faced with maneuvering through the moods and challenges of adolescence, or anywhere in between, there is help and support available!  It is never too late to change direction or alter your course!  It can start with a single STEP

SYSTEMATIC TRAINING FOR EFFECTIVE PARENTING (STEP)

"The good news is parenting skills can be learned.  Although, discipline is an ongoing process; the program offers a simple, common sense approach to problems that parents encounter as children go through different stages of development.  In addition, parents learn how to respond to misbehavior in ways that encourages better choices, discourages unacceptable behavior, and promotes self-esteem and self-discipline..."

Family Outreach provides 3 STEPs to help guide you through your child's life.

Early Childhood STEP (Ages 0-6)  ●  Basic STEP (Ages 6-12)  ●  Teen STEP (Ages 13+)
