Community Awareness

Volunteers educate the public regarding child abuse and the services offered by Family Outreach by speaking in schools, religious institutions, civic clubs, and other organizations and distributing materials. Much of this activity escalates every year during April, which is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Family Outreach makes itself visible and accessible for greater information dissemination to the community via various venues, booths, fairs, lectures, workshops, and other local events.

Community Awareness also includes the pursuit of attracting potential new volunteers to explore, become oriented, and hopefully join Family Outreach to become an active participant in an aspect of the organization.
